Here’s how it works. You simply fill out a form describing the work that you need done. You can provide information on how big your budget is and even upload pictures of the area that needs work if you want.
There are a number of different categories you can choose from including carpentry, electric, cleaning, flooring, gardening and landscaping, swimming pool work, masonry, interior design, roofing, windows and doors, plumbing and more.
Once you submit your job, qualified contractors or service providers who are interesting in taking on your project will bid on it.
This is not a reverse auction type site where the low bid automatically wins. Instead, with Fixr you are free to choose whichever contractor you want based on several factors including their reputation, price and the quality of their work.
There are a lot of benefits to using a service like Fixr. First, rather than spending hours searching for a contractor, the contractors come to you and bid on your job so you save a ton of time.
Second, since they bid on your project with an actual dollar amount you can see upfront what they will charge. That makes it easy to be sure that you are getting the best deal.
